Ministry of Agriculture Invites Application for 186 Posts; Check Details

The Ministry of Agriculture invites applications for various posts in the Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine and Storage - under Department of Cooperation and Farmer Welfare. There are total 186 vacancies in the Ministry of Agriculture. Those interested can apply by visiting the official website of Plant Protection, Quarantine and storage – www.ppqs.gov.in.

The applicants will have to attend a walk-in-interview at the local plant quarantine station to get shortlisted for the post. The interview will begin from 1st April & continue till 5th April 2019.

The official notification says candidates will have to reach for the interview by 10 am. They need to carry all the original documents regarding educational qualification; certificates from 10th Class onwards, experience certificates, along with their attested photocopies and recent passport size photographs with one ID proof when they come for the interview.

Essential Education Qualification:

For Senior Technical Officer Post - applicants should have a doctorate degree in the respective field.

For Technical Officer Post - applicants must have Master’s degree in the respective fields in which they are applying for.

Age details:

For post of STO, the upper age limit is 40 years for men candidates while for women candidates & 3rd gender is 45 years.

For TO, the upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women & third gender.

In addition, a relaxation of up to 5 years will be given to SC and ST category candidates.

Salary details:

Candidates who will be selected for the STO post will get a monthly salary of Rs 53,000 while those for TO post will receive a monthly pay of Rs 37,000.
