Job Description:

The Border Security Force (BSF) will begin the recruitment for the post of head constable (Radio Operator) & Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) on 14th May 2019. The interested and eligible candidates can apply from 14 May to 12 June 2019. There are total 1000 plus vacancies for head constable radio operator and head constable radio mechanic in BSF.

First Phase Written OMR test - 28 July 2019

Second Phase PST PET & Documentation - 9 October 2019

Descriptive Written Test - 9 October 2019

Final Medical Examination – 30 January 2020

Vacancies Details:

Head Constable Radio Operator: 300 seats

Head Constable Radio Mechanic: 772 seats

BSF Head Constable Pay-scale:

Head Constable Radio Operator - Level 4 in the Pay Matrix

Head Constable Radio Mechanic - Rs 25,500- Rs 81,000 (as per 7th CPC)

Eligibility details:

An applicant should have completed Matriculation or class 12th or equivalent from a recognized Board and must have 2 years Industrial Training Institute Certificate (ITI) in the relevant subject.

Age Limit:

The minimum age is 18 years while the maximum age is 25 years. People from the SC/ST/OBC category will be given age relaxation.

The selected applicants will undergo a series of tests that will include written tests, physical tests, descriptive written exam and finally a medical test. It must be noted that the written tests and the OMR test will have negative marking.

There will be 4 stages of recruitment. The 1st stage will be a written test and as per the official notification the exam will be held on 28th July 2019 (tentative). The exam will be of 200 marks with four sub-parts.

After the written exam, PST, PET and Documentation & descriptive exam will be conducted for candidates who clear the written test. The tentative dates for the 2nd phase of selection process are 9th October and 24th November 2019.

The final selection of the candidates will be through a medical examination which will be held on 30 January 2020. After medical test only the final merit list will be made for HC (RO) and HC (RM).
